The supplier offers shipping on DAP — what does that mean?
Under DAP for sea, rail or air, the shipment goes to the agreed place of destination — specify it as precisely as possible. Usually that is a port, rail terminal or airport. You can also arrange delivery to your address, but clarify this with the shipper.
Under DAP the importer must handle customs clearance.
We will cover how to do this soon in a blog article.
Clearance requires paying 23% VAT and duty depending on the product.
