In the case of sea transport, sometimes departures are postponed by 1-2 weeks.
Unfortunately we are not much in a position to act or influence any changes, the shipowners determine when a ship sails. It is important to remember that ships hold several thousand containers and one complaint about a delay will unfortunately not help.
It is worth asking our logistics partner which shipowners are most likely to arrive on time. Perhaps a slightly more expensive option with another shipowner will help us save some time.
As far as insurance against delays is concerned, unfortunately there is nothing similar on the market. In an industry where delays occur at every turn in practice this would be hard to insure.
