Requirements when importing vehicle loaders from China

When importing car chargers from China, there are a number of requirements that need to be taken into account. First and foremost, it is important to ensure that the imported chargers meet the applicable safety standards, such as CE certificates and declarations of conformity. In addition, it is important to check that the products comply with local connector regulations and technical standards. Before importing, it is a good idea to thoroughly familiarise yourself with the legislation on the safe use of vehicle chargers and the procedures for product notification and conformity assessment. In addition, any documentation requirements such as certificates of origin, invoices, customs declarations and other necessary documents should also be taken into account.

Safety requirements for electric car chargers imported from China are strictly regulated by several key European Union directives and regulations. These directives cover various aspects to ensure that chargers are safe to use and comply with environmental and quality standards.

One of the key directives is the Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive (EMC) 2014/30/UE, which regulates the emission of interference and the immunity of equipment to electromagnetic fields. In addition, it sets out manufacturers' obligations to comply with the requirements before products are allowed on the market.

Directive RoHS 2011/65/EU imposes specific restrictions on the use of hazardous substances in electronic and electrical equipment, which is important for imported chargers and electric cars. Ensuring compliance with this directive is key to protecting the environment.

Another important directive is the Low Voltage Directive (LVD) 2014/35/UEwhich refers to the safety of electrical equipment operating within certain voltage ranges. This is particularly relevant for electric car chargers, which operate within certain voltage parameters.

Directive RED 2014/53/EU applies to radio devices, which may be relevant for chargers with communication or radio control functions.

CE marking and a declaration of conformity are indispensable for products that comply with the above directives. This confirms the conformity of the product with the requirements of the European Union and is required before products can be placed on the EU market.

In addition, the Regulation REACH 1907/2006 regulates chemicals, which may have an impact on materials used in the manufacture of chargers, while the Directive WEEE 2012/19/EU refers to the responsible handling of waste electrical and electronic equipment, which also includes EV chargers.

All these regulations are aimed at ensuring a high level of user safety, environmental protection and compliance with European standards for imported electric car chargers from China.
