Data protection policy of Union Cargo sp. z o.o.

  1. Introduction The Company Union Cargo sp. z o.o. with its registered office at 13/12 Jerzego Zaruby Street (hereinafter: "the Company") attaches great importance to the protection of the personal data of its customers, business partners and other persons whose data it processes. This Policy sets out the rules for the processing of personal data by the Company in accordance with applicable laws, including Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons in relation to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (hereinafter: "RODO").
  2. Purposes of personal data processing Personal data is processed by the Company for the purpose of fulfilling contracts and providing transport and logistics services, including handling transport orders, contacting customers, managing and documenting shipments, financial settlements and fulfilling legal obligations under tax and accounting law.
  3. Legal bases for processing personal data The company processes personal data on the basis of the following legal bases:
  • the performance of a contract or to take action at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) RODO),
  • fulfilment of legal obligations incumbent on the Data Controller (Article 6(1)(c) of the DPA),
  • legitimate interest pursued by the Data Controller (Article 6(1)(f) RODO),
  • consent given by the data subject for the purposes specified in the consent (Article 6(1)(a) RODO).
  1. Categories of personal data processed The company processes the following categories of personal data:
  • identification data such as name, surname, residential address, telephone number, e-mail address,
  • contractual data, such as contact details, information on transport orders and shipments,
  • financial data such as bank account numbers, payment information.
  1. Retention period Personal data will be retained for the period necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected and for the period required by law, including tax and accounting regulations.
  2. Security of personal data The Company uses appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure the protection of personal data against unauthorised access, loss, unauthorised disclosure and other forms of incompatible processing.
  3. Data subjects' rights Data subjects have the right to:
  • access to their personal data and obtain a copy of that data,
  • correct (update) your personal data,
  • erasure of personal data ("right to be forgotten"),
  • restrictions on the processing of personal data,
  • portability of personal data to another Data Controller,
  • to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority dealing with the protection of personal data.

  2. Changes to the Data Protection Policy The Data Protection Policy may be updated to comply with changing legislation and data protection practices. Updates will be published on the Company's website.
